Colors had always been a vital element for Benetton, not only for their products but also for packaging and collaterals.
An input in graphical layout might not have left a greater imapct in comparison to an interesting structural design for the packaging of their premium product colleciton.
Efforts were made to address some of the following core requirements of the packaging design:
1. To be cost-effective.
(at least in comparison to their current
packaigng).
2. Must be production-friendly.
3. Should be flat-packed for easy transportation and lower freight costs.
4. Easy to assemble and convenient to access for packing the product.
5. Comfortable in-store usage with minimal wear and tear.
6. Should maintain the ‘colorful’ identity of the brand.
